BRO TERMINOLOGY aka "TERMBRONOLOGY" aka "BROCABULARY"
The following is a list of Bro Terms, useful in identifying Bros, harnessing Bro culture and equipping Bros for the execution of humor. If you don't know what a Bro is these words will make even less sense. Click to find out "What's a bro?"
Aurora BROrealis: A flamboyant and/or overly colorful Bro. (inspired by this).
Potential Usage: "Sweet gear Aurora BROrealis", "Look at all the colors on Aurora BROrealis over here."
Head HonchBRO: Typically the highest ranking Bro in the area of delineation. HonchBROs can vary between crew, posse, city, county, state, country or region. The ultimate Head HonchBRO = Jesus (Col 1:15/Heb 5:1). To Him all other Bros must bend their knee.
Potential Usage: "Sorry I'm late, I was having a meeting with the head HonchBro." "Head HonchBro is stoked about you."
BROverbs: Often called Proverbs by non-bros. This is a book in the Bible containing the deepest of truths & wisdom. Solomon wrote Broverbs to encourage Bro's everywhere and teach about wisdom. See the front page regularly for featured Broverbs.
Potential Usage: "Man! I was just memorizing a Broverb about that. "There is a way that seems right to a man but in the end it leads to death. Broverb 16:25"
Bro Hug: As seen here, the bro hug is a combo handshake (inverted) to one arm hug often accompanied by a pat/shoulder dip. At expert level you can go from a normal handshake, spin it and pull right into a solid bro hug without any awkward pauses.
Potential Usage: Anywhere, often, always. "Last night I saw some of the boys from high school, it was bro hugs all around."
InsBROration: When you suddenly get an idea that is surely for the purpose of furthering the advancement of Bros everywhere. Often times this can be a nudge from the Holy (aka Broly Spirit).
Potential Usage: "I just had a surge of insbroration to write that book after hearing that bro preach tonight."
Broliday: A holiday reserved for special bro events aka Bro Downs...such as 4th of Broly Independence celebrations, bro baptisms, etc.
Potential Usage: "Last 4th of Broly was one of the best events of the summer, we can top it though bro!"
Brotein/Carbrohydrates: These are the building blocks of a bro diet, especially if you're trying to be on swole patrol. Brotein is the building block of bro muscle growth. And without a proper carbrohydrated body you'll be running out of energy pronto. #MaxOut
Potential Usage: "Give me a minute, I need to chug this brotein shake."
Bro-downs: Similar to an ol' fashioned hoedown this is any bro event (possibly broliday) where bros decide to dance in unison. Although this is a rare sight, these are truly insbrorational times.
Potential Usage: "I didn't think it was gonna happen but this turned out to be a bro-down for the ages..."
Brothaurity: Similar to but different than a head honchbro. Typically a Brothaurity has a negative connotation wherein a bro has seriously overstepped his boundaries and has elected himself as the superior in a legalistic or moralistic way...#NOTGOSPEL.
Potential Usage: "Dang! Who made you the brothaurity bro?"
Brosiedon: Lord of the Brocean. An aquatic inclined or sailor type bro...and/or a bro in position of authority whom you respect.
Brosa Parks: A bro who has a deep interest and/or heart for social justice.
BMOC: No, not Big Man On Campus. This is Bro Most Oftenly Counseling - a bro who always finds himself in a deep conversation with other bros regarding their lives and faith.
Broseph Stalin: Just like Joseph Stalin - this is an authoritarian, freedom killing bro and/or a bro who always dictates what the others bros in the crew do. Dictator status. #NOTGOSPEL Bro!
Edgar Allen Bro: A bro with a gift in the arts, specifically a bro gifted in the art of poetry...a poetic bro.
Attack of the Brones: This is a social situation in which an inordinate amount of bros suddenly invade. This can be good or bad.
Brios & Clark: Typically a tandem of bros who have an insatiable appetite to explore the unknown.
Brobi Wan Kenobi: Bro who plays a mentor or fatherlike role in the lives of other bros. May also have a tremendous skillset in lightsaber combat. Plays a role in initiating other bros into the Jedi arts.
The Bromuda Triangle: This term can be used for a variety of reasons. Firstly, this can be a neighborhood where a dense population of bros populate (similar to a epbrocenter). Secondly, this can be a social situation where there are so many bros you feel like you're lost and could disappear amongst them...possibly the result of an Attack of the Brones.
Brocahontas: An insulting term used for a bro who happens to be acting in a overly girly manner.
Bromance: When two bros have a special affinity for one another. Aka a man-crush. This is a non-sexual reference used for bros who share a deep intimacy and transparency in their relationship.
Brotential: A Bro with potential. This could also be a dude who's really not a bro yet.
Brofessor: A bro who is in a position of leadership and teaching. This bro may hold a Doctorate in Brology - the study of bros.
Rocky Balbroa: A swole bro who never misses a day of pumping iron. Also can be used for a bro dedicated to the art of boxing.
Brocrates: An overly philosophical bro consumed with the deepest thoughts of brolosophy. Can also be used as an insult for a bro who makes simple things unnecessarily complicated.
Abominable Broman: A massive bro possibly having an abundance of body hair and/or passionate about the outdoors.
Bro Montana: A bro with the innate ability to lead and call plays or audibles aka sudden change of plans and ensure success.
Brotre Dame: The greatest university in the bro world. Bro Montana was a graduate. The ideal place for study of brology, & brolosophy.
