Thanks for visiting BROSOURCE.ORG, I tend to agree with the opinions of my bros...this site is a reflection of everything I am...a bro, laced with humor, serious about finding fulfillment, amazed at Jesus' love, concerned for my bros and ready to serve or lend a helping hand.  I hope this site can be a resource for you wherever you are at spiritually.     #BROSOURCE

 

My name is Tim Parlier and I live to serve North County San Diego.  I currently work for FCA - Fellowship of Christian Athletes and this site was inspired by bros I meet who are in need of some resources. 

 

There was a time in my life (HS-College) where I didn't think God was really who He said He is.  I was turned off by religion and didnt want anything to do with it.  I spent many years searching for fulfillment outside of God.  From being a HS jock, to a party loving Fraternity President. I chased and turned over every stone I could to find lasting enjoyment and satisfaction.  All of which left me still searching.  There is a quote that sums up my journey/conclusions:

...“The most tragic strain in human existence lies in the fact that the pleasure which we find in the things of this life, however good that pleasure may be in itself, is always taken away from us. The things for which men strive, hardly ever turn out to be as satisfying as they expected. And in the rare cases in which they do, sooner or later they are snatched away…However, for the man who knows Jesus, all those partial, broken and fleeting perfections which he glimpses in the world around him, which wither in his grasp and are snatched away from him even while they wither, are found again, perfect, complete and lasting in the absolute beauty of God.”  -Peter Toon...

In college I met Jesus for who He really is.  I didnt join a religion, I started a relationship with a person, Him.  As I grew to know and trust Jesus more He began changing me and showing me my purpose in life.  I now know all those nights of searching are over, I have found what my heart always longed for...the loving arms of my Heavenly Father.  Now I live entirely for His glory - to make Him famous, to love the way I have been loved, to serve the way I have been served, to give what has been freely given to me...all of those things I have received in Jesus Christ.  My life is a response to the Gospel, I willingly lose my life for His sake because JESUS IS BETTER - Philippians 3:8 "Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with him."
